Periodic Inspection and Inspection of Machinery Serving at Fixed Landing Areas

When the lifting equipment is put on the market or when it is used for the first time, appropriate measures are taken by the manufacturers and they are provided to perform the lifting and conveying functions of the machines safely. These machines should be checked and inspected regularly at least once a year after they are used. This is a legal obligation. According to the Regulation on Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, all lifting and conveying machines shall have the power to lift and hold at least the 1,25 floor of the declared load. These inspections, which should only be performed by mechanical engineers, machine technicians and high technicians, are compulsory for human health and property safety.

In the static tests carried out in these controls, the machines are first examined, subjected to the maximum working load, and then the load is removed to determine whether the machine is damaged. In dynamic tests, the machines are operated under the maximum working load in all possible configurations and it is determined that the machine is operating properly.

In these experiments, all possible physical faults of the machines resulting from imbalance, mechanical strength or mechanical parts such as gears, ropes and chains are revealed.

Machines serving stationary landing spaces must be guided when they move to landing spaces without being subject to hazardous effects. Risks arising from the contact of workers at landing locations to moving carriers should be avoided. Machines must be of a structure to prevent any load from falling.

Lifting machines must remain stationary, especially when loading and unloading, in the case of machines that serve stationary landing spaces, where workers are able to access the carrier. Workers at risk of crushing from contact with the moving carrier. For this reason, there must be a physical shelter around the machine or the device must have a device to stop the movement of the carrier.

Our company performs regular inspections and inspections of the machines that serve the fixed landing spaces within the scope of periodic controls of lifting and conveying machines in accordance with the relevant legal regulations and standards published by domestic and foreign organizations.
