In general, dozers are road construction, land cleaning, material spreading, leveling, ditch filling, rock removal or soil loosening machines. Dozers are used for various purposes in the construction of moss, housing, dam construction, forestry and mining. Mainly used in transportation works by dragging soil or construction waste in a short distance. Dozers have 700 horsepower and 80 tons of weight lifting capacity.

It is available in various types according to pallet shapes, power transmission and blade positions. Different pallet characteristics may be needed depending on the job. Straight tracked dozers are generally more efficient on loose ground, while triangular tracked dozers are more efficient in deep pits. Dozers do not have high maneuvering speeds, but they have high maneuverability in confined spaces. Some dozers are also used as tow trucks.

However, for whatever purpose, dozers are motor vehicles and periodical checks and inspections are required for healthy and safe use within the scope of construction machinery.

The Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment includes the minimum requirements for the health and safety of the construction machinery and equipment used in the workplace. Details of the Annex to this Regulation, Maintenance, Repair and Periodic Inspection (Annex 3) are provided. In any case, however, regular inspections of towing dozers are required at least once a year.
