Work machines are machines which are used for digging, loading, transporting and piling materials such as stone, soil and rock and can move on their own wheels, pallets or legs with additional equipment or that are pulled by another motor vehicle. Some of the machines are operated by an operator and some of them are operated by remote control.
Construction machines are classified depending on their characteristics and the work they can do. For example, some of the loaders are wheeled and some are crawler. Some loaders are only able to do both loading and digging. While some of the graders are wheeled, some of them are articulated. Some should be sprayed with snow.
Construction machinery are not used for transporting people, animals and cargo on the road, mainly used in the construction industry, industry, agriculture and public works. Major construction equipment are: excavators, loaders, diggers and loaders, dozers, tow dozers, graders, tipper trucks, scrapers, concrete mixers. In order to use these machines, it is necessary to be trained and qualified. According to the Highways Traffic Law, the drivers of forklifts, loaders, graders, dozers, cranes, dump trucks and similar construction machines are required to obtain a certificate issued by the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Highways or Chambers of Mechanical Engineers. At the same time, the drivers of combine harvesters and similar machines used in the agricultural sector must obtain a certificate issued by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Agriculture.
In order to use these machines safely, their inspections and inspections should be carried out within the prescribed periods and methods.
The Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security regulates the minimum requirements for work equipment used in workplaces in terms of health and safety.
