Chimney Traction Compliance Inspection

Pursuant to the Regulation on Gas Burners issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (2009 / 142 / AT), when gas burners and equipment are used in appropriate conditions, they must work in a way that does not endanger the health of people and pets and the safety of goods. According to the regulations, the structural characteristics of the devices should be such that, when used, they will burn with a normal flame and only give acceptable amounts of health-hazardous substances. At the same time, the chimneys should be in such a way that they do not spread the substances that will occur during combustion. The construction of devices that require a chimney for the discharge of these substances must be such that they do not emit hazardous quantities of combustion products into the space they are located, even in situations where the chimney draft conditions are abnormal.

Chimney traction conformity inspection services provided by inspection and test organizations include chimney traction and accountability checks, settlement conformity, material and assembly checks and leakage tests.

Chimneys are an important part of the combustion system and are a risk factor for environmental safety and human health. The design, production and assembly of the chimneys must be done correctly. This is an important issue not only in terms of energy savings, but also in terms of protection from fire hazards or poisoning from carbon monoxide gas.

The control of chimney projects and calculations is the process of checking the chimney design in terms of traction adequacy in accordance with the relevant standards. The chimney design is evaluated and conformity is given to the appropriate design. The gas distribution company does not approve the natural gas project without this report.

Chimney installation checks and tightness tests are carried out to check whether the approved chimney project is installed in accordance with the relevant standards. Again, gas distribution companies do not use the gas until they see the results of the flue seal test.

Our company conducts the chimney traction conformity inspection studies within the scope of the inspection and tests of the gas incineration plants in accordance with the relevant legal regulations and standards and test methods published by domestic and foreign organizations. Here are a few basic standards:

  • TS EN 13084-1 Industrial chimneys - Free standing - Part 1: General features
  • TS EN 13084-4 Chimneys - Free standing - Part 4: Brick lining - Design and application
  • TS EN 13084-5 Chimneys - Free standing - Part 5: Material for brick lining - Product specifications
  • TS EN 13084-6 Chimneys - Free standing - Part 6: Steel linings - Design and application
