Safety Inspection of Machines

The design of electrical machines generally involves the fulfillment of the requirements of the machine safety directive 2006 / 42 / EC issued by the European Union for the safety of electrical circuits.

In our country, the Machinery Safety Regulation by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, when properly established, regularly maintained and used in line with the intended purpose, describes the basic safety conditions required for the design and production of machines that do not harm people's lives and property to consumers. The regulation also describes the conformity assessment processes to be followed and the minimum criteria to be considered in the selection of organizations to conduct conformity assessment.

The regulation defines interchangeable parts of machinery, safety parts, lifting accessories, chains, ropes and belts, detachable mechanical transmission devices and partially completed machinery as machines.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Law in force, periodic controls of the machines used in the enterprises are obligatory. These checks must be performed by mechanical engineers, machine technicians and high technicians.

Another legal regulation in this regard is the Regulation on the Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment, the control periods of the machines, the criteria to be considered during the periodic controls and the related standards.

Our company, within the framework of electrical safety examinationsperforms the safety inspections of the machines in accordance with the relevant legal regulations, standards and test methods published by domestic and foreign organizations. These standards are based on a few standards:

  • TS EN 60204-1 Safety in machinery - Electrical equipment of machinery - Part 1: General rules
  • TS EN 60204-31 ... Part 31: Special safety and EMC specifications for sewing machines, sewing units and systems
  • TS EN 60204-32 ... Part 32: Rules for load lifting machines
  • TS EN 60204-33 ... Part 33: Specifications for semiconductor fabricated equipment
  • TS EN ISO 12100 Machinery safety - Risk assessment and risk reduction

The TS EN ISO 12100 standard is designed to help designers, manufacturers and other relevant organizations apply the basic safety criteria in order to comply with the European Union standard on machine safety.
