Fan Measurements

Fans are electrical devices which are mainly used to produce airflow. There are two types, centrifugal and axial. The most commonly used fans for a comfortable air environment are centrifugal or centrifugal fans. In the operating system, air is sucked by the fan perfane on one or both sides and pressed perpendicular to the fan shaft. In axial fans, air flows to the fan shaft in parallel, not at right angles, as in centrifugal fans.

There are some fan principles that apply to all fan systems. For example, the fan flow rate is directly proportional to the fan speed. In addition, the total system static pressure is proportional to the square of the fan speed. In addition, the braking power of the fan is proportional to the cube of the fan speed. Authorized persons and institutions carrying out control and inspection processes carry out measurement studies in line with these principles.

In the mode of operation of the fans, at constant fan speed, regardless of the density of the air, the fan provides the same amount of constant air flow.

In a simple ventilation system, there is a duct system and fans connected to the inlet or outlet or both ends of this duct system. In the complex ventilation systems, besides the fans, there are supply and return ducts, filters, cooling and heating sepantines and silencers. The main task of the fans is to create the energy required for the airflow and to balance the airflow resistance of all these elements.

In order to understand the fan imbalance, it is necessary to first evaluate the factors that may cause this. Fan instability usually occurs when the air flow suddenly accelerates due to turbulence conditions. Turbulence conditions in fans are for two reasons. Either the duct connection at the outlet of the fan is wrong, or the fan is selected outside the natural equilibrium zone. If improper fan selection is made or the fan is not installed correctly in the system, the fan will vibrate and make noise.

Almost all fan manufacturers perform fan performance tests in accordance with AMCA standards. In this way, fan values from different fan manufacturers can be easily compared with each other.

Our company, within the framework of electrical safety examinationsperforms fan measurements in accordance with the relevant regulations, standards and test methods published by domestic and foreign organizations.
