Periodical Control and Inspection of LPG Tanks

Due to the decrease in oil resources in the world, people have turned to different searches for energy needs. The liquefied petroleum gases (liquid petroleum gases), now called alternative fuels, can be used immediately in automobile engines with a simple system change. This change in the fuel system pays for itself in a short time. Liquid petroleum gases (LPG) will continue to be used in the coming years as they are cheaper and less polluting the environment. LPG has been used in vehicles with 1930 for years.

Liquid petroleum gases are a hydrocarbon. The main components are propane and butane gases. In our country, 30 propane and 70 butane mixtures are used. It is usually kept in a liquid state for easy storage and transportation.

In the Regulation on Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment, liquefied petroleum gas tanks are covered in the article titled pressure vessels and installations. It must therefore be checked at least once a year. Control operations must be carried out by mechanical engineers, high technicians and machine technicians.

Our company carries out periodic inspections and inspections of LPG tanks within the scope of regular controls of pressure vessels in accordance with the relevant legal regulations and standards and test methods published by domestic and foreign organizations. The standards considered in these studies are as follows:

    • TS EN 12817 LPG equipment and accessories - Inspection and re-evaluation of competence - Rated capacity tanks smaller than 13 cubic meters
    • TS EN 12819 LPG equipment and accessories - Reassessment of muyane and its competence - Tanks larger than 13 cubic meters
  • For underground LPG and similar liquefied gas tanks
