PED and AD 2000 Testing and Certification

The PED Certificate is a common standard for all European member states. It includes the certification of all pressure equipment connected to the European Union market by a notified body. If you want to sell pressure equipment in Europe, you must test the products and have it approved by an approved third party in accordance with PED 2014 / 68 / EU. Allows the manufacturer to apply the CE marking to their products.

The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) has been compulsory for new pressure equipment and boilers since 2002 in Europe. The following CEN standards form the PED:

  • EN 13445 1-9 Flame-free pressure vessels
  • EN 13480 1-6 Industrial piping, metal
  • EN 12952 1-16 Water tube boilers
  • EN 12953 1-11 Shell boilers

Together with the PED, these standards form the European Pressure Vessel Code. Harmonized standards are presented in the Official Gazette (see '2014 / 68 / EU Directive' or 'Standards').

The European Pressure Vessel Code regulates finished pressure equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems and different boilers made by the customer.

The above standards are supported by harmonized material standards.

The AD 2000 Merkblatt W series is a technical standard developed for the design and manufacture of pressure equipment. This standard serves for purposes such as the evaluation of technical documents, the evaluation of test reports, the evaluation of test procedures, the control of the working procedures and the reliability of personnel and the approval of the materials used and ensures process controls.

TÜRCERT directs our customers to establish the necessary manufacturing control process, to provide the necessary trainings, to determine the destructive and non-destructive process and final control processes.
