Dual Tox CO / H2S Measurements

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a gas with no color or odor. It usually burns with a blue flame. But more importantly it is a very strong poison. In case of very high concentration in the breathing air, it is rapidly passed into the blood and binds to hemoglobin, where oxygen is transported. In the meantime, as it binds more quickly than oxygen, it replaces oxygen in the blood. When enough oxygen does not reach the tissues and organs, the effects of poisoning begin to manifest themselves. These include headache, dizziness, visual disturbances, mental blur, drowsiness and coma in severe situations. Brain damage occurs and leads to death.

Hydrogen sulfide is also a toxic gas without color but has a smell like rotten eggs. Hydrogen sulfide is also a flammable and explosive gas. 5-45 content of hydrogen sulphide is an explosive air content. Hydrogen sulfide is most commonly found in spas, natural gas wells and crude oil plants. If there is a high amount of hydrogen sulfide in the breathing air, it suppresses people's sense of smell and leads to sudden death if inhaled too much without realizing it. In case of prolonged exposure to low amounts, people's sense of smell disappears.

Combined measurement and evaluation of carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide gases, which have a significant impact on air pollution and working environment air, are extremely important in this respect. Dual toxic toxin measurements (CO and H2S measurements) are performed for this purpose. In case of exposure to these gases together, people lose consciousness in a very short time. In the event of any danger, employees should be removed from the area and the concentration of these gases must be determined.

Our company performs dual tox (CO / H2S) measurements within the scope of gas measurements. In these studies In accordance with the relevant legal regulations, standards and test methods published by domestic and foreign organizations.

In the meantime, our organization, ÖSAS Accreditation Agency, It is accredited according to TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 standard and the tests, measurement, analysis, inspection and inspection procedures and reports are accepted as valid in private and official audits.
