Fire Resistance and Response Tests

It is a complex discipline that includes different technical expertise such as fire protection, active protection, passive protection, smoke poisoning and optical density, not only related to the construction of buildings but also for the production of ships, automobiles, railways and aircraft. In general, passive protection works aim at limiting the properties of buildings that cause fire and increase fire. For this purpose, the verification of the studies is done with fire reaction tests. Active protection, on the other hand, generally relates to devices such as fire extinguishers, fire hydrants and smoke evacuation systems, which should be available in an enterprise. As such, fire resistance and reaction tests relate to all products and materials designed and applied.

our organization, fire resistance and response test work, With a strong staff and technical infrastructure, in accordance with the relevant legal regulations, standards and test methods published by domestic and foreign organizations. A few standards considered in this context are:

  • TS EN 13501-1 + A1 Construction products and components - Fire classification - Part 1: Classification using fire reaction data
  • TS EN 13501-2 Construction products and building elements - Fire classification - Part 2: Classification using data obtained from fire resistance tests (excluding ventilation installations)
  • TS EN 13501-3 + A1 Construction products and components - Fire classification - Part 3: Classification using data obtained from fire resistance tests on products and components used in building service installations: Fire resistant air ducts and fire dampers
  • TS EN 13823 + A1 Fire reaction tests for building products - Thermally exposed to a single combustion element - Building products other than slabs
  • TS EN ISO 11925-2 Fire resistance tests - Flammability upon direct exposure to flame - Part 2: Test with single flame welding
  • TS EN ISO 11925-2 Reaction to fire tests - Flammability of products directly exposed to flame - Part 2: Test with a single flame source
  • TS ISO 11925-3 Building materials - Fire resistance tests - Flammability upon direct exposure to flame - Part 3: Test with multiple flame welding
