GMP Plus Certification

GMP Plus or GMP + means good manufacturing practices for the feed industry. GMP Plus certification The program was first published in 1992. The first design was made by the enterprises working in the Dutch Feed Industry. It is then combined with the quality systems published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the HACCP standard to make it a more well-equipped certification system. The basis of the GMP Plus Certification system is the PDCA cycle, which is valid in all quality systems. So plan, apply, check and take precautions. This system based on continuous improvement defines the conditions of feed production facilities. It covers many conditions ranging from production work to storage of products, transportation, qualifications of employees and documentation of processes.

The aim of these studies is to ensure the reliability of animal feeds and to ensure the safe delivery and control of feed. Essentially the GMP Good Manufacturing Practices System includes all stages of production work, such as storing, transporting and distributing, in order to ensure the production of products related to human health, such as drugs, food, cosmetics and medical devices, under certain conditions and in a systematic manner, product security.

Moreover, the GMP Good Manufacturing Practice System ensures that not only the production and distribution stages of the products, but also the quality of the products in all respects, starting from the introduction of raw materials and ensuring that all stages are in compliance with the required standard.

The GMP Plus standard is designed to comply with European Union directives and consumer product safety legislation. For example, feed hygiene directive 183 / 2005 has been adopted as a hygiene code in European Union countries. At the same time, the Food and Consumer Product Safety Institution recommends that the distributor companies have this certificate to obtain a document that expresses compliance with the applicable legal requirements. Distributor companies benefit from GMP Plus standard to ensure reliability and quality in animal feed.

GMP Plus standards control the conformity of the products produced and distributed by animal feeds to the specified criteria from the farms that they obtain from the big livestock farms.

This standard, also known as GMP Plus feed certification program, is designed to meet the requirements and aims to provide quality feed. The quality and reliability targets in feeds are for the enterprises in the whole feed chain. The GMP Good Manufacturing Practice System is based on the HACCP Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point system criteria.

Companies with GMP Plus certification have been involved in a chain with 70 feed organization from 1200 near the country. In this respect, an internationally recognized quality is documented. The companies that have this certificate have proven their production facilities in accordance with all domestic and foreign standards applicable in the feed sector. All of these businesses are focused on quality and risk management. This situation offers new sales opportunities to the companies and allows them to open up new markets. In this respect, the market reputation of the enterprises is increasing and gaining the advantage of being ahead in the fight against competitors.

Mainly the GMP Plus standard has two modules:
