COC and DOC Certification and Certification

Within the scope of the New Approach directives, EN (European Union) norms designed to be valid in the European Union countries translate the safety requirements of the published directives into technical instructions. These norms answer how the manufacturing companies will produce. In fact, EN norms are not mandatory requirements, they are optional technical specifications. However, compliance with these norms is an expression that production is carried out in accordance with the basic safety requirements of the relevant directive. All EN norms, ie European Union standards, are published in the Official Journal of the European Union. Although EN norms are optional, the safety objectives covered by the New Approach directives are regulatory and mandatory.

Products covered by the directives may have different risks in their characteristics and may fall under different directives. For example, an electronic device is covered by the machinery directive for mechanical risks, the electromagnetic compatibility directive for electromagnetic interference and interference, and the low voltage directive for electrical risk.

The CoC (Certificate of Conformity) is an important document for the CE marking on products covered by the directives, and compliance with EN standards is essential for obtaining this certificate.

Standards are the criteria for the common characteristics of products and services, and they are generally voluntary. Thanks to the standards, it is ensured that the products and services are produced in accordance with the purpose, to be comparable and to give competition opportunity to companies. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the International Standards Organization (ISO) produce standards that apply throughout the world. IEC standards are mainly concerned with electrical and electronic issues. The scope of ISO standards is quite wide.

EN standards are generally applied in the countries of the European Union and are developed by the European standard organizations CEN and CENELEC. The CEN (European Standards Committee) is the foundation for the harmonization of standards in European Union countries. It establishes harmonized European Union standards for all sectors and seeks to remove technical barriers arising from the difference of national standards. CENELEC is the European Electricity Standardization Agency.

The Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) became a member of the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in 1956. In addition, 2012 became a full member of CEN and CENELEC.

CEN and CENELEC establish the framework for all national standards organizations in the European Union. Today, IEC and ISO organizations are developing several standards through CEN and CENELEC. EN IEC or EN ISO standards are the result of these efforts.

Today, our company carries out CoC Certificate or Document of Conformity studies for its customers from every sector producing goods or services in order to certify that the production is in accordance with the generally accepted standards worldwide. The issued certificates of conformity are accepted all over the world.

Many new products offered to consumers in domestic and foreign markets are presented to consumers with a certificate of conformity in order to prove that they comply with the relevant standards. In addition to the manufacturer's information, this document contains information such as the description of the product, which legal regulations it complies with, and which standards are taken into consideration in production.
